Successful Outcomes
at Lawrence Community Shelter
Tracy arrived at the shelter shy and confused. In addition to being homeless, she had lost her disability payment and her medical insurance. LCS helped Tracy connect with the right resources to reinstate these benefits. With a substantial back payment, she was able to apply for an apartment and purchase some new clothing. She also began going to Bert Nash and taking her medication again. With the right support systems in place, she has developed more confidence and is excited about moving into her own home.
